Ramen Noodle Salad Recipe

Ramen noodles and coleslaw mix with other ingredients to give this Ramen noodle salad recipe a wonderful flavor. The accompaniment of candied almonds gives it a sweet and festive feel that make it distinct from other version of this salad.
Ingredients -
 
2 Packages Chicken Flavored Ramen Noodles Broken Up And Not Cooked
1 16 oz Packages Coleslaw Mix
5 Green Onions Diced Into ¼ Inch Pieces
2 Ramen Noodle seasoning Packages
1 Cup Canola Oil or Light Olive Oil
½ Cup Toasted and Candied Slivered Almonds
⅓ Cup Toasted Sesame Seeds
¼ Cop Sugar
3 tbs Sugar
 
Preparation:
 

In a large glass bowl mix together the following ingredients till well blended, coleslaw mix, green onions, toasted sesame seeds, Ramen noodles.

To candy the almond slivers, place in a a frying pan and add ¼ cup sugar and toasted almond slivers. Over a medium low mix the sugar and almonds together until the sugar starts to melt and the almonds are well coated with the sugar stir continually. Place on a cookie sheet to dry and let the sugar crystallize.

To make the dressing mix the oil and Ramen noodle seasoning pack together along with the 3 tablespoonfuls of sugar using a wire whisk, mix together till sugar is dissolved and the other ingredients are well blended.

Add the dressing to the mixture approximately ½ hour to 1 hour before you are ready to serve. Top with the candied toasted almond slivers and serve cold.

Serve this with your favorite oriental soup.
