Angel Hair Pasta Recipe With Creamy Mushroom Sauce

A light cheesy flavor envelopes this delightful angel hair pasta recipe accented by a homemade creamy mushroom sauce. They combine to give a refreshing taste to this old world, meets new world treat. Fresh mushrooms and chives give it an earthy yet rich flavor you will love.
Ingredients -
 
4 oz Angel Hair Pasta, (capellini)
1 1/2 cup Fresh Mushrooms, sliced
1 med Onion, chopped
1 tablespoon Butter
3 ounce Fat-Free Cream Cheese, cut into cubes
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Fresh Ground Pepper
1/3 cup Skim Milk
2 tablespoon Chives, snipped
 
Preparation:
 

Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, for sauce, in a medium saucepan cook the mushrooms and onion in the butter or margarine until vegetables are tender.

Stir in cream cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir over low heat until cheese is melted.

Gradually stir in milk and chives; heat through. Pour sauce over pasta. Toss to coat.

Serve immediately.
